Designer Open Call

Fashion doesn't stand still. Here at DITNB we realize that fashion is continuously adapting and responding. To be part of this constant movement we are having an open call to see what local designers and creatives are working on.

We believe that Detroit offers a unique platform for designers and has the opportunity to implement new ways of curation, collaboration, and design within a local market.
Please bring samples, lookbooks, line sheets, and any other information regarding: sourcing, production, or current stockists.

If you are or know the right candidate, please come see us! We recommend arriving early as there might be a wait to meet with a DITNB buyer.

KaCeyKal’s love of art began with a painting class at the age of five. In 2009, while studying creative writing at Oakland University, KaCey took his knowledge of modern, contemporary and classical art to his computer screen after downloading Photoshop. Blending his background of art with the new found digital platform helped broadened his resume—from creating cover art for musicians to creating art for the Digital Madrid series, the covers of Viper and Artsy Magazine, and working closely with the Street Dreams Magazine team on various projects. His style has pop art elements, including vivid colors, intricate shapes and bold textures. His campaign with Brazilian fashion brand, My F.T. (My Favorite Things) eludes these elements which are now seen all over the world.

PLAYGROUND DETROIT Presents Ambience: a group exhibition featuring Detroit-based artists Scott Klinker, Steve McShane, George Vidas and Patrick Ethen debuting on November 10th from 6-9P. This exhibition brings together artists who each utilize light as their medium that each explores various ways to manipulate this often overlooked part of our daily lives.

Einstein and the invention of electricity brought us a man-made interpretation of nature’s most powerful life force -the sun. The human race has since discovered the power of light and color; how they effect us both physiologically and psychologically by igniting our senses, controlling our emotions, and tracking time. Therefore light and color, especially combined, are arguably the most universal languages of communication.
